Empire Genomics’ high quality microarrays utilize discrete segments of DNA generated from the RPCI BAC clones. These clones, which served as the intermediate templates for sequencing the human and mouse genomes, are printed on glass slides by Empire Genomics and used as targets for our aCGH analysis. Having processed in excess of 4,000 samples, Empire Genomics’ significant expertise in the area of array comparative genomic hybridization (aCGH) allows us to work with even more difficult samples, such as formalin fixed paraffin embedded samples that are particularly difficult samples to obtain quality DNA for sampling. Our proprietary process of manufacturing aCGH arrays enables consistent high quality and very reproducible results from assay to assay, with average copy number changes detected by our CGH arrays of approximately 175kb. The Empire Genomics platform produces a very high signal to noise ratio which enables confidence in making decisions. Our platform performs best when placed side by side against other platforms on the market and is presented here:
