PLEKHG2 FISH Probe
The PLEKHG2 FISH probe is designed to hybridize to the PLEKHG2 gene and is primarily used for detecting amplifications and deletions associated with the gene. This probe is FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood metaphase spreads and interphase nuclei. The probe can be labeled in one of five colors. Each probe is sold in a 20 test kit (approximately 20 slides - 22x22 mm area) and includes hybridization buffer. Please note that due to design optimizations, prices are subject to change.

Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is a RhoGTPase that can activate CDC42 by promoting exchange of GDP for GTP on CDC42. The encoded protein is activated by binding to the beta and gamma subunits of heterotrimeric guanine nucleotide-binding protein. Defects in this gene have been associated with leukodystrophy and acquired microcephaly with or without dystonia. [provided by RefSeq, May 2017]
