SERF2-C15ORF63 FISH Probe

The SERF2-C15ORF63 FISH probe is designed to hybridize to the SERF2-C15ORF63 gene and is primarily used for detecting amplifications and deletions associated with the gene. This probe is FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood metaphase spreads and interphase nuclei. The probe can be labeled in one of five colors. Each probe is sold in a 20 test kit (approximately 20 slides - 22x22 mm area) and includes hybridization buffer. Please note that due to design optimizations, prices are subject to change.

Gene Summary

This locus represents naturally occurring read-through transcription between the neighboring small EDRK-rich factor 2 (SERF2) and chromosome 15 open reading frame 63 (C15orf63) genes. The read-through transcript is a candidate for nonsense-mediated mRNA decay (NMD) based on the use of the supported SERF2 start codon, and is therefore unlikely to produce a protein product.
