The PAX8-PPARG Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the PAX8 and PPARG genes. The fusion of the PAX8 and PPARG genes has been associated with Thyroid Carcinoma, Thyroid Carcinoma, Thyroid Carcinoma, Thyroid Carcinoma, and Thyroid Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

PPARs form heterodimers with retinoid X receptors (RXRs) and these heterodimers regulate transcription of various genes. Three subtypes of PPARs are known: PPAR-alpha, PPAR-delta, and PPAR-gamma. The protein encoded by this gene is PPAR-gamma and is a regulator of adipocyte differentiation. Additionally, PPAR-gamma has been implicated in the pathology of numerous diseases including obesity, diabetes, atherosclerosis and cancer.
