ZFYVE16-BDP1 Fusion FISH Probe

The ZFYVE16-BDP1 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the ZFYVE16 and BDP1 genes. The fusion of the ZFYVE16 and BDP1 genes has been associated with Stomach Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

Turnaround Time: 7-10 Business Days    Shipping Time: 1-2 Day Expedited Shipping

ZFYVE16 Gene Summary

This gene encodes an endosomal protein that belongs to the FYVE zinc finger family of proteins. The encoded protein is thought to regulate membrane trafficking in the endosome. This protein functions as a scaffold protein in the transforming growth factor-beta signaling pathway and is involved in positive and negative feedback regulation of the bone morphogenetic protein signaling pathway. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2013]

Gene Name: Zinc Finger FYVE-type Containing 16

Chromosome: CHR5: 79703837 -79775498

Locus: 5q14.1

BDP1 Gene Summary

The product of this gene is a subunit of the TFIIIB transcription initiation complex, which recruits RNA polymerase III to target promoters in order to initiate transcription. The encoded protein localizes to concentrated aggregates in the nucleus, and is required for transcription from all three types of polymerase III promoters. It is phosphorylated by casein kinase II during mitosis, resulting in its release from chromatin and suppression of polymerase III transcription. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Gene Name: B Double Prime 1, Subunit Of RNA Polymerase III Transcription Initiation Factor IIIB

Chromosome: CHR5: 70751441 -70863649

Locus: 5q13.2
