The Bacterial Artificial Chromosome (BAC) is a powerful resource for functional genomics research such as BAC recombineering. This technology is useful for many procedures, including genome wide gene mapping, sequencing, physical mapping and chromosome walking and FISH. One of the most widely used library collections is the Roswell Park Cancer Institute collection.
Empire Genomics provides its customers with access to over one million BAC clones from the Roswell Park Cancer Institute genomic libraries, which are available for purchase as either unlabeled or custom labeled FISH probes. The average turnaround time for BAC clone orders is approximately 7-10 days, depending on the volume ordered and whether the clones purchased are unlabeled or custom labeled. All BAC clones are tested prior to distribution for T1 phage.
