AHCYL1-GNAI3 Fusion FISH Probe

The AHCYL1-GNAI3 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the AHCYL1 and GNAI3 genes. The fusion of the AHCYL1 and GNAI3 genes has been associated with Stomach Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

Turnaround Time: 7-10 Business Days    Shipping Time: 1-2 Day Expedited Shipping

GNAI3 Gene Summary

Guanine nucleotide-binding proteins (G proteins) are involved as modulators or transducers in various transmembrane signaling pathways. G proteins are composed of 3 units: alpha, beta and gamma. This gene encodes an alpha subunit and belongs to the G-alpha family. Mutation in this gene, resulting in a gly40-to-arg substitution, is associated with auriculocondylar syndrome, and shown to affect downstream targets in the G protein-coupled endothelin receptor pathway. Gene Name: G Protein Subunit Alpha I3

Chromosome: CHR1: 110091185 -110138452

Locus: 1p13.3

AHCYL1 Gene Summary

The protein encoded by this gene interacts with inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate receptor, type 1 and may be involved in the conversion of S-adenosyl-L-homocysteine to L-homocysteine and adenosine. Several transcript variants encoding two different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jun 2011]

Gene Name: Adenosylhomocysteinase Like 1

Chromosome: CHR1: 110527386 -110566364

Locus: 1p13.3
