BBS9-AVL9 Fusion FISH Probe

The BBS9-AVL9 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the BBS9 and AVL9 genes. The fusion of the BBS9 and AVL9 genes has been associated with Lung Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

AVL9 Gene Summary

The AVL9 Cell Migration Associated (AVL9) gene is located on chr7 :32535175-32623779 at 7p14.3.

Gene Name: AVL9 Cell Migration Associated

Chromosome: CHR7: 32535175 -32623779

Locus: 7p14.3

BBS9 Gene Summary

This gene is downregulated by parathyroid hormone in osteoblastic cells, and therefore is thought to be involved in parathyroid hormone action in bones. The exact function of this gene has not yet been determined. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2017]

Gene Name: Bardet-Biedl Syndrome 9

Chromosome: CHR7: 33169151 -33645680

Locus: 7p14.3
