CDC42EP4-AMZ2 Fusion FISH Probe

The CDC42EP4-AMZ2 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the CDC42EP4 and AMZ2 genes. The fusion of the CDC42EP4 and AMZ2 genes has been associated with Stomach Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

Turnaround Time: 7-10 Business Days    Shipping Time: 1-2 Day Expedited Shipping

CDC42EP4 Gene Summary

The product of this gene is a member of the CDC42-binding protein family. Members of this family interact with Rho family GTPases and regulate the organization of the actin cytoskeleton. This protein has been shown to bind both CDC42 and TC10 GTPases in a GTP-dependent manner. When overexpressed in fibroblasts, this protein was able to induce pseudopodia formation, which suggested a role in inducing actin filament assembly and cell shape control. Gene Name: CDC42 Effector Protein 4

Chromosome: CHR17: 71279762 -71308143

Locus: 17q25.1

AMZ2 Gene Summary

The protein encoded by this gene is a zinc metalloprotease that displays some activity against angiotensin-3. The encoded protein is inhibited by the aminopeptidase inhibitor amastatin, as well as by the general inhibitors o-phenanthroline and batimastat. Defects in this gene may be associated with lung tumorigenesis. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2016]

Gene Name: Archaelysin Family Metallopeptidase 2

Chromosome: CHR17: 66244144 -66253305

Locus: 17q24.2
