The CHD4-DTX1 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the CHD4 and DTX1 genes. The fusion of the CHD4 and DTX1 genes has been associated with Breast Invasive Carcinoma. It represents the main component of the nucleosome remodeling and deacetylase complex and plays an important role in epigenetic transcriptional repression. Patients with dermatomyositis develop antibodies against this protein. Somatic mutations in this gene are associated with serous endometrial tumors.
