CUL4A-SUPT16H Fusion FISH Probe

The CUL4A-SUPT16H Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the CUL4A and SUPT16H genes. The fusion of the CUL4A and SUPT16H genes has been associated with Lung Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use.

Turnaround Time: 7-10 Business Days    Shipping Time: 1-2 Day Expedited Shipping

CUL4A Gene Summary

CUL4A is the ubiquitin ligase component of a multimeric complex involved in the degradation of DNA damage-response proteins (Liu et al., 2009 [PubMed 19481525]).[supplied by OMIM, Oct 2009]

Gene Name: Cullin 4A

Chromosome: CHR13: 113863085 -113919392

Locus: 13q34

SUPT16H Gene Summary

Transcription of protein-coding genes can be reconstituted on naked DNA with only the general transcription factors and RNA polymerase II. However, this minimal system cannot transcribe DNA packaged into chromatin, indicating that accessory factors may facilitate access to DNA. One such factor, FACT (facilitates chromatin transcription), interacts specifically with histones H2A/H2B to effect nucleosome disassembly and transcription elongation. FACT is composed of an 80 kDa subunit and a 140 kDa subunit; this gene encodes the 140 kDa subunit. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2009]

Gene Name: SPT16 Homolog, Facilitates Chromatin Remodeling Subunit

Chromosome: CHR14: 21819630 -21852425

Locus: 14q11.2
