The GPATCH8-STAC2 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the GPATCH8 and STAC2 genes. The fusion of the GPATCH8 and STAC2 genes has been associated with Bladder Urothelial Carcinoma. A mutation in the serine-rich region of the protein is thought to be associated with hyperuricemia (PMID: 21594610).
