IGF1R-ADPGK Fusion FISH Probe
The IGF1R-ADPGK Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the IGF1R and ADPGK genes. The fusion of the IGF1R and ADPGK genes has been associated with Breast Invasive Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

This receptor binds insulin-like growth factor with a high affinity. It has tyrosine kinase activity. The insulin-like growth factor I receptor plays a critical role in transformation events. Cleavage of the precursor generates alpha and beta subunits. It is highly overexpressed in most malignant tissues where it functions as an anti-apoptotic agent by enhancing cell survival.
