ITPKC-LTBP4 Fusion FISH Probe

The ITPKC-LTBP4 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the ITPKC and LTBP4 genes. The fusion of the ITPKC and LTBP4 genes has been associated with Breast Invasive Carcinoma, Uterine Carcinosarcoma, and Pancreatic Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

Turnaround Time: 7-10 Business Days    Shipping Time: 1-2 Day Expedited Shipping

LTBP4 Gene Summary

The protein encoded by this gene binds transforming growth factor beta (TGFB) as it is secreted and targeted to the extracellular matrix. TGFB is biologically latent after secretion and insertion into the extracellular matrix, and sheds TGFB and other proteins upon activation. Defects in this gene may be a cause of cutis laxa and severe pulmonary, gastrointestinal, and urinary abnormalities. Three transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.[provided by RefSeq, May 2010]

Gene Name: Latent Transforming Growth Factor Beta Binding Protein 4

Chromosome: CHR19: 41099071 -41135725

Locus: 19q13.2

ITPKC Gene Summary

This gene encodes a member of the inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate [Ins(1,4,5)P(3)] 3-kinase family of enzymes that catalyze the phosphorylation of inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate to 1,3,4,5-tetrakisphosphate. The encoded protein is localized to the nucleus and cytoplasm and has both nuclear import and nuclear export activity. Single nucleotide polymorphisms in this gene are associated with Kawasaki disease.[provided by RefSeq, Sep 2009]

Gene Name: Inositol-trisphosphate 3-kinase C

Chromosome: CHR19: 41223007 -41246765

Locus: 19q13.2
