NFIA-CYP2J2 Fusion FISH Probe

The NFIA-CYP2J2 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the NFIA and CYP2J2 genes. The fusion of the NFIA and CYP2J2 genes has been associated with Prostate Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

Turnaround Time: 7-10 Business Days    Shipping Time: 1-2 Day Expedited Shipping

CYP2J2 Gene Summary

This gene encodes a member of the cytochrome P450 superfamily of enzymes. The cytochrome P450 proteins are monooxygenases which catalyze many reactions involved in drug metabolism and synthesis of cholesterol, steroids and other lipids. This protein localizes to the endoplasmic reticulum and is thought to be the predominant enzyme responsible for epoxidation of endogenous arachidonic acid in cardiac tissue. Multiple transcript variants have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2016]

Gene Name: Cytochrome P450 Family 2 Subfamily J Member 2

Chromosome: CHR1: 60358979 -60392423

Locus: 1p32.1

NFIA Gene Summary

This gene encodes a member of the NF1 (nuclear factor 1) family of transcription factors. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2011]

Gene Name: Nuclear Factor I A

Chromosome: CHR1: 61542945 -61928460
