The PLTP-EEF2 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the PLTP and EEF2 genes. The fusion of the PLTP and EEF2 genes has been associated with Thymoma. The encoded protein transfers phospholipids from triglyceride-rich lipoproteins to high density lipoprotein (HDL).
