PPP2R5C-FOXN3 Fusion FISH Probe

The PPP2R5C-FOXN3 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the PPP2R5C and FOXN3 genes. The fusion of the PPP2R5C and FOXN3 genes has been associated with Stomach Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

FOXN3 Gene Summary

This gene is a member of the forkhead/winged helix transcription factor family. Checkpoints are eukaryotic DNA damage-inducible cell cycle arrests at G1 and G2. Checkpoint suppressor 1 suppresses multiple yeast checkpoint mutations including mec1, rad9, rad53 and dun1 by activating a MEC1-independent checkpoint pathway. Alternative splicing is observed at the locus, resulting in distinct isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Gene Name: Forkhead Box N3

Chromosome: CHR14: 89622515 -90085494

Locus: 14q31.3-q32.11

PPP2R5C Gene Summary

The product of this gene belongs to the phosphatase 2A regulatory subunit B family. Protein phosphatase 2A is one of the four major Ser/Thr phosphatases, and it is implicated in the negative control of cell growth and division. It consists of a common heteromeric core enzyme, which is composed of a catalytic subunit and a constant regulatory subunit, that associates with a variety of regulatory subunits. The B regulatory subunit might modulate substrate selectivity and catalytic activity. This gene encodes a gamma isoform of the regulatory subunit B56 subfamily. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Gene Name: Protein Phosphatase 2 Regulatory Subunit B'gamma

Chromosome: CHR14: 102228134 -102394328

Locus: 14q32.31
