RNF43-LIMCH1 Fusion FISH Probe

The RNF43-LIMCH1 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the RNF43 and LIMCH1 genes. The fusion of the RNF43 and LIMCH1 genes has been associated with Pancreatic Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use.

LIMCH1 Gene Summary

The LIM And Calponin Homology Domains 1 (LIMCH1) gene is located on chr4 :41362803-41702061 at 4p13.

Gene Name: LIM And Calponin Homology Domains 1

Chromosome: CHR4: 41362803 -41702061

Locus: 4p13

RNF43 Gene Summary

The protein encoded by this gene is a RING-type E3 ubiquitin ligase and is predicted to contain a transmembrane domain, a protease-associated domain, an ectodomain, and a cytoplasmic RING domain. This protein is thought to negatively regulate Wnt signaling, and expression of this gene results in an increase in ubiquitination of frizzled receptors, an alteration in their subcellular distribution, resulting in reduced surface levels of these receptors. Mutations in this gene have been reported in multiple tumor cells, including colorectal and endometrial cancers. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2015]

Gene Name: Ring Finger Protein 43

Chromosome: CHR17: 56431037 -56494931

Locus: 17q22
