TBCD-FOXK2 Fusion FISH Probe

The TBCD-FOXK2 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the TBCD and FOXK2 genes. The fusion of the TBCD and FOXK2 genes has been associated with Liver Hepatocellular Carcinoma, and Pancreatic Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

Turnaround Time: 7-10 Business Days    Shipping Time: 1-2 Day Expedited Shipping

FOXK2 Gene Summary

The protein encoded by this gene contains a fork head DNA binding domain. This protein can bind to the purine-rich motifs of the HIV long terminal repeat (LTR), and to the similar purine-rich motif in the interleukin 2 (IL2) promoter. It may be involved in the regulation of viral and cellular promoter elements. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Gene Name: Forkhead Box K2

Chromosome: CHR17: 80477593 -80562483

Locus: 17q25.3

TBCD Gene Summary

Cofactor D is one of four proteins (cofactors A, D, E, and C) involved in the pathway leading to correctly folded beta-tubulin from folding intermediates. Cofactors A and D are believed to play a role in capturing and stabilizing beta-tubulin intermediates in a quasi-native confirmation. Cofactor E binds to the cofactor D/beta-tubulin complex; interaction with cofactor C then causes the release of beta-tubulin polypeptides that are committed to the native state. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Gene Name: Tubulin Folding Cofactor D

Chromosome: CHR17: 80709939 -80901062

Locus: 17q25.3
