TRIM24-SVOPL Fusion FISH Probe

The TRIM24-SVOPL Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the TRIM24 and SVOPL genes. The fusion of the TRIM24 and SVOPL genes has been associated with Breast Invasive Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

Turnaround Time: 7-10 Business Days    Shipping Time: 1-2 Day Expedited Shipping

TRIM24 Gene Summary

The protein encoded by this gene mediates transcriptional control by interaction with the activation function 2 (AF2) region of several nuclear receptors, including the estrogen, retinoic acid, and vitamin D3 receptors. The protein localizes to nuclear bodies and is thought to associate with chromatin and heterochromatin-associated factors. The protein is a member of the tripartite motif (TRIM) family. The TRIM motif includes three zinc-binding domains - a RING, a B-box type 1 and a B-box type 2 - and a coiled-coil region. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Gene Name: Tripartite Motif Containing 24

Chromosome: CHR7: 138145078 -138270332

SVOPL Gene Summary

The protein encoded by this gene is thought to be a member of solute carrier family 22, which includes transmembrane proteins that transport toxins and drugs from the body. This gene is a paralog of the SVOP gene that encodes synaptic vesicle 2-related protein. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2016]
