ZBTB20-LSAMP Fusion FISH Probe
The ZBTB20-LSAMP Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the ZBTB20 and LSAMP genes. The fusion of the ZBTB20 and LSAMP genes has been associated with Kidney Renal Clear Cell Carcinoma, Brain Lower Grade Glioma, Skin Cutaneous Melanoma, Prostate Adenocarcinoma, Prostate Adenocarcinoma, Liver Hepatocellular Carcinoma, Skin Cutaneous Melanoma, Prostate Adenocarcinoma, and Lung Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

This gene encodes a member of the immunoglobulin LAMP, OBCAM and neurotrimin (IgLON) family of proteins. The encoded preproprotein is proteolytically processed to generate a neuronal surface glycoprotein. This protein may act as a selective homophilic adhesion molecule during axon guidance and neuronal growth in the developing limbic system. The encoded protein may also function as a tumor suppressor and may play a role in neuropsychiatric disorders. This gene acts as a transcriptional repressor and plays a role in many processes including neurogenesis, glucose homeostasis, and postnatal growth.
