ZC3H7A-SYT13 Fusion FISH Probe

The ZC3H7A-SYT13 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the ZC3H7A and SYT13 genes. The fusion of the ZC3H7A and SYT13 genes has been associated with Stomach Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use.

ZC3H7A Gene Summary

The Zinc Finger CCCH-type Containing 7A (ZC3H7A) gene is located on chr16 :11844441-11891114 at 16p13.13.

Gene Name: Zinc Finger CCCH-type Containing 7A

Chromosome: CHR16: 11844441 -11891114

Locus: 16p13.13

SYT13 Gene Summary

This gene encodes a member of the large synaptotagmin protein family. Family members have an extracellular N-terminal transmembrane domain and a cytoplasmic C terminus with two tandem C2 domains (C2A and C2B). Synaptotogmin family members can form homo- and heteromeric complexes with each other. They also have different biochemical properties and developmental profiles, and patterns of tissue distribution. Synaptotagmins function as membrane traffickers in multicellular organisms. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants that encode different protein isoforms have been described for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2011]

Gene Name: Synaptotagmin 13

Chromosome: CHR11: 45261852 -45307884

Locus: 11p11.2
