THSD7A FISH Probe
The THSD7A FISH probe is designed to hybridize to the THSD7A gene and is primarily used for detecting amplifications and deletions associated with the gene. This probe is FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood metaphase spreads and interphase nuclei. The probe can be labeled in one of five colors. Each probe is sold in a 20 test kit (approximately 20 slides - 22x22 mm area) and includes hybridization buffer. Please note that due to design optimizations, prices are subject to change.

Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is found almost exclusively in endothelial cells from placenta and umbilical cord. The encoded protein appears to interact with alpha(V)beta(3) integrin and paxillin to inhibit endothelial cell migration and tube formation. This protein may be involved in cytoskeletal organization. Variations in this gene may be associated with low bone mineral density in osteoporosis. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2010]
